Description of pictures

Alghough these days have changed a little bit our routines, we have come back to write, learn, listen and read. Today, we are posting some texts written by 3rd ESO students where they describe pictures. Here, people are doing different things, so they have mainly used present continuous. They have also used expressions such as "at the bottom", "on the right" or "in the background".

Reviews

It's a good idea to read reviews about places we are going to visit. Later, we can decide if our experience is the same as the one some other people had before us.

In this post we have many different descriptions of places (Port Aventura has has a great success). Most of them had been good experiences, maybe because we went with the right people, maybe because the place is worth it.

We hope you can get some new ideas for your next holidays.

Comic character

Hello everyone! We came back to school three weeks ago and we are already writing tasks using our personal laptops.

In this post, you will be able to read and learn about different comic characters which are probably better known as their roles in films. You'll see some of them have been in our lives for decades, while others have appeared in our cultural lives much more recently.

These presentations have been written by 1st ESO students.

Enjoy!

Designing our own rooms

Sometimes it is very difficult to write about what we don't know. However, 1st ESO students have created their own rooms and have written a short description about those projects. They have used expressions such as There is/there are, paying attention to singular and plural nouns. They have also used prepositions of place (next to, near, in front of...) and they have enjoyed cutting and pasting different objects from decoration magazines. They are great artists!

Our bedrooms

Once again, 2nd ESO students have been writing short compositions. This time they have described their own bedrooms. They have used structures such as there is/there are, have got or prepositions of place. As you will see, they have also used vocabulary related to bedrooms and houses. They have included actual pictures of their own bedrooms. As usual, we hope you like this task.

Short descriptions

Third ESO students have written short essays where they describe photographs. They have chosen differnt pictures where people are practising sports, having fun or just doing daily activities. They were told to point out things such as what the people in the pictures were doing, what they were wearing, the background, the weather... In fact, they could add any interesting or useful information about the picture. Have a look at their pieces of work. Most of them are really interesting.

An easy way to use prepositions in descriptions and the structure There is/there are. 1st eso students have written about rooms and have revised words related to objects in a house. Here are some examples.
