Christmas time

Today, 22nd December 2017, we are saying goodbye to school. This month, though, has been full of activities.

On 16th December, we celebrated Santa Llúcia's fair. As usual, 4th ESO students sold cakes and hot chocolate to visitors, children from school, families. It was a cold afternoon and evening but it was really nice, as it will be the  last Fair our 4th ESO students will take part in.

Then, to celebrate the previous weeks before Christmas, we created some Christmas cards, using buttons, pieces of string, couloured pieces of cardboard.... We are going to exchange them with some students from the school Les Aigües, in Mataró, but we are also sending some of them to the Oncology Department of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital and to a refugee camp in Greece.

So we all want to wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Recipe. Yummy!

Welcome to our blog!!! Today we'll explain a recipe for a dessert.
In this recipe we will prepare a cup cake.

First, we need the ingredients:
-110g of butter
-110g of sugar
-2 eggs (lightly beaten)
-110g of self-raising flour
-1-2 glasses of milk.

For the butter cream we need:
-140g of butter
-280g of icing-suggar
-1-2 glasses of milk.

Fristly, we take a bowl and put the butter and sugar, and we mix the ingredients.
Secondly, we put in the mix 2 eggs (lightly beaten) and also mix with the eggs with the mass.
Before finishing, we put the other ingredients in the mixer.

Next, we put the all mass in a other bowl and put the bowl in the oven.

Finally you can decorate the cup cake. Use Christmas inspiration and you will surprise your family and friends.

Merry Christmas!!!!!

Tió

In a few days we are starting our Christmas celebrations. In Catalonia we have some curious celebrations, as having to hit a log (Tió) which after a few days having been fed, gives us some presents. Or we include a small character next to Baby Jesus who is... Well, he's called the 'Caganer'.

Today we want to recommend you a website where you will have some English Christmas Carols. Try to learn some to sing with your family.

Christmas

We have already lived (and survived) another Christmas Day. Nevertheless, we still have New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and in Spain we'll get the visit of The Three Wise Men.

In this post we include a link with information about this celebration, which is celebrated around the world, even in countries where the Christian is not the most widely spread religion. So if you are curious enough, have a look at this link, too, where you will find information about recipes, the Christmas Story, customs and traditions and many different activities you can do at home, all the family together. Enjoy and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
