THE MOST FAMOUS GROUPS OF K-POP!
Hello!
First of all, what is k-pop? K-pop is a type of music made in South Korea, it can also be named as “Korean pop”. Now let’s start! (This is not a top so the groups aren’t in
order)

BTS is a boy
band from Seul (South Korea) formed by 7 members. They are known too like
“Bangtan sonyeondan” (in korean) or “bulletproof boys” and “beyond the
scene” (in english). The group began in 2013 with their song “no more
dream” included in the single “2 cool 4 skool”. In 2017 they have realized
an album called “wings” and a mini album called “love yourself”. They had
become really famous in all the world, especially in the U.S.A.

They are a
girl group from Seul, formed by 4 members. The group officially
debuted on 2016 with their single called “Square one”. This year they have
realized another single called “as if it’s your last”.
CURIOSITY: They were preparing
their debut since 2012!

PSY
Well, he
isn’t a group, but I think that we’ll all know him! PSY is the singer of Gangnam
style! He is known for his
humorous videos and stage performances, and internationally for his hit
single "Gangnam Style". In 2012 that song became the most famous song
of the year, everyone sang it!

BIGBANG

Is a boy
band formed by 5 members. People say that they are the kings of k-pop. Big Bang held their official debut
on August 19, 2006 with their first single called “bigbang”

TWICE
Twice is a girl group formed by 9 members! They
are a lot! The group officially debuted the 20 of October of 2015 with
their mini album “the story begins”. The last 30 of October they produced
an album called “Twicetagram”

EXO is a boy band originally formed by 12 members.
First the 12 members where divided in two groups, EXO-K and EXO-M. They
made the same songs but one in korean and the other in Chinese, but three
members left the group so they start to be only one group of 9 members.
Last year one of them left the group so they are actually 8. They debut on
2013 with the album “XOXO”
