TRAVELLING

My name is Berta and I love travelling around de world. A few years ago, I started travelling with my family to different beautiful places in the world.

I think that when you travel disconnect about all the worries and you can spend time with yours. I remember my first trip the best of all my travels. I was two years old and my brother has just born. My parents organized a trip to the snow. I remember me and my father skiing and my mother and my little brother looking at us.

Another trip that I remind with a lot of happiness is when I went to Menorca with my family. It was the year 2011 and my brother obviously was bigger than the snow trip. We went every day on the beach and we ate on restaurants.

11 things I want to do before I die (because 10 things are over valuable)

There are many thing that I really know that I’ll do before I die, for example:

1. Have a Great Dane:
I really love this big dogs, not only for its majesty, also because of its loyalty.

 2. Walk on the 5 continents.
I want to travel around the world, and I want to know well all the different cultures and traditions.

3. Skydiving
I love the adrenaline in the body, and the adventurous things and the parachute is the best thing to get in.

4. Go shark cage diving
I have panic to the sharks but I want to get over and lead it.

5. Do a piano concert with a lot of audience.
One of the things I really want to do is to perform in a piano concert with a lot of audience, because I’m shy and I want to supper it.

6. Live in a farm house.
I want to live 5 days in a farm house without any internet and communications, and plant my foot and cook it and eat it myself.

7. Discover something important
I want to discover something and appear in a book.

8. Travel in Africa to help little boys.
I want to do a helping work with small boys and girls that unfortunately don’t have a good luck like me.

9. Do volunteer work to clean the world
I know that the humans are very impolite and we have to do something to help the world, so I want to stay one day cleaning a forest or something like this.

10. Swimming in a very cold water
I want to swim in a very cold water in the artic north polo with the penguins and polar bears.

LIST OF THINGS I WANT TO DO BEFORE DEATH

1-Skydiving
Skydiving is something I have always wanted to do because I love the adrenaline, and the sensation of being full of excitement. I actually don’t know why but I have always wanted to have the sensation of flying. I know it’s very expensive but it’s a plan that’s not for my foreseeable future, it’s more of a long term thing I will do one day.

2- Chelsea vs. Arsenal
I’m a fan boy of Chelsea FC, so I would like to see this classic titan’s crash one day or another. This is not so difficult to achieve, so I would like to do it in a couple of years’ time or so.

3- Get Cristiano in Fifa Ultimate team
I have always wanted to get “El Bicho” because he is really overpowered and costs a lot of coins. With all these coins I could sell my account and win a lot of money, actually real money.

4- Go to Rome
I'd like to go to Rome because there are a lot of places to visit such as the coliseum and I love the language there, and because it is similar to Spanish, I can more or less understand it.

5- Go shark cage-diving
I love sea animals and I have always wanted to be near a Shark, surely, they are very dangerous animals. But inside a cage you can be sure that you can’t be bitten.

6- Go to a 5 Michelin stars
I love eating nearly as much as I love playing FIFA, so I’d like to try exquisite food made by the best cooks in the world. But obviously, I wouldn’t like to go alone, I would prefer to go with my friends and family.

7-Spend one year abroad studying
Not only to practice my English a little bit and get more fluency, but also to see other countries with different cultures. This would be good for me as a person, because I would be forced to make new friends and to have a new family.

8- Ride a hot air balloon
I have always wanted to ride a hot air balloon because this allows you to see things with a different perspective, that building from you town that seems so tall when you’re near it, maybe from the sky seems just like a tiny dot.

9- Go to Sweden to watch the northern lights
Since I was very young I have loved watching documentaries, but there is one particular documentary that I liked so much, that I still remember perfectly.

10- Visit the Great Canyon of Colorado
I have always wanted to go to Canon of Colorado because it is extremely enormous and there are amazing sights that make it very beautiful.

Eating out

First ESO students (aged 12-13) have been learning new vocabulary about food and drink. An interesting and creative way of using these new words is writing a menu of a restaurant. There are many of them, obviously, and you'll see here just a choice. There have been Italian, Indian or Spanish restaurants, along with cafés or ice cream shops.

We have also introduced a new digital tool called Canva. Forget about old pieces of cardboard. They have created colourful and imaginative pieces of work.

Bon appétit!

A RAINING DAY...

It was on Monday and I was in my bedroom when suddenly it started raining. My phone had run out of battery, and although I was in my room I was scared. I wanted to call my mum but my phone was a disaster!!! So I couldn’t phone my mum... and it was raining!

When I was going to the dining-room the lights turned off so in that moment I was very very scared!! It was still raining!
I tried to relax myself and I went to the garage and I turned on the lights.

Then I went to my bedroom and I phoned my mum, she didn’t ring me back so I decided to stay in my bed because it was... raining.
THE NEIGHBOUR

I was sleeping when I heard a yell in the neighbour´s house. My neighbour is a strange person, she is always angry because her husband died but he dies five years ago!
Although I was very comfortable in my sofa I phoned her old house, she is very old-fashioned because she hasn´t got a car but she had a beautiful and fat cat. When I phoned the house I discovered that the door was open and I saw all the house: it was destroyed and flooded.
When I opened the bedroom door I saw the cat, it was very scared, but I didn´t see the woman. All I could see was the open window.

The next hour I was very scared in my house waiting for the police. When the police arrived they said that she had killed herself 4 years ago because she was kidnapped and drowned.

WHERE’S  MY  DOG?

I was in the train with my dog, Daisy and we were going to go to my grandmother’s house, in Barcelona.
We went on to the train and I sat in the seat and my dog on the floor.
While I was reading the newspaper Daisy started barking, which wasn’t very normal, and suddenly it ran away! It disappeared!
I started looking for it, people that were in the train like me helped me to look for it, but we didn’t find my dog!

There were some children who were scared, I always told them that my dog is harmless and that I love it and I had to find it quickly, I was very worried about it.

Finally a police officer, Alexia, that was in the train found her, she told me that Daisy caught the best murderer in the city and she didn’t recognize him!
OH! Daisy is the best dog in the world! No! She is my girl, only mine!!!!

A Spanish omelette

Hello! As you all know one of my favourite hobbies is cooking.

And today I’m going to show how you do cook my favourite meal:
A Spanish omelette

Ingredients (1-2 persons)
3-4 potatoes
Oil
1 onion
2Eggs

First step: take 3 o 4 potatoes depending on it size.
Peel and cut them, you can choice rather cutting thin or thick peaces depending on your preference

The second step: getting a pan and frying the potatoes in a huge quantity of oil if you like onion you can add some while you are frying the potatoes.

Third step: now, while the potatoes and the onion are frying, you have to beat the eggs. Is very important that you watch the potatoes and the onion because if not they will burn.

Fourth step: when the potatoes are ready you have to drain them and add the eggs to the pan. Once the potatoes are drained, add them to the pan again with the eggs.

Fifth step: when you see it is ready you have to turn it and cooked by the other said.
Sixth Step: when you see it is ready, you have to remove and then it will be ready to be served.

There is no exact time of cooking, this depends on you. I personally like it rawer, when it is a bit liquid in the inside. My favourite thing to do is having it with bread and tomatoes. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

MUSIC

Nowadays  music has changed a lot. Before all the music was more sentimental but now everything is more sexual. For example in 18th century the popular music was classical.

Let’s go back in time to see how the music have changed and how its going to change.
1960: in the 60 the music that was popular was country, piano, funk, blues, jazz and soul. As you can see there was a variety of styles of music.

1970: in 70 the music started  changing, classic rock, country rock, singer-songwriter went go viral but piano and country started going down.

1980: in 80 soul, R&B, funk, disco went viral but funk, blues, jazz, soul started falling down.

1990: in 90 dance, new wave, pop and electronic  went viral like rock and classic rock too

2000:  hip hop, dance and soul went a little more popular than the years before. Country,
folk and rockabilly start getting popular again. Hip-hop, rap, gangsta rap and old school went so viral

2010: rock, hard rock and classic rock went viral again. And hip-hop, rap, gangsta rap, old school still went viral.

10 THINGS YOU MUST DO BEFORE DYING

In my opinion you only live once, and these are some of the things I want to do before dying

Travelling to the six continents: In my opinion travelling is very important, because you know other cultures, and you learn lot of languages.

Going to a music festival for a week (TOMORROWLAND):
If you like music it is a good way to spend time with your friends, and also to know a lot of people

.

See the sunrise and the twilight the same day (on a summer day): It is really good idea, and you can do a party night on the beach until the sunrise, or you can spend this moment with an important person for you.

Spend the whole day without internet and electronic thing: Spending a day on the mountain without mobile phone or Wi-Fi would be a fantastic way to relax yourself and disconnect

Lying about yourself: Would be really exciting to lie about yourself and tell everyone you are an important person (as Steve Jobs)

Practising a sport risk: It is good to think that you are going to die to see your life is worthwhile, but obviously not being in real risk like bungee-jumping (that you are not in risk)

Playing an instrument: Nowadays there are lot of small boys and girls who are 8 years old and can play an instrument, but if you’re not  one of them I recommend it to you, because it helps you to think and makes you ambitious

Making a volunteer work in Africa: This idea has always appealed to me. I would like to teach boys and girls in an African school that doesn't have the same facilities as us.

Cooking for more than a hundred people: I don’t mind cooking, but the idea of cooking for lot of people makes me nervous and excited.

Going to a lost island: I've always wanted to go to an island, but I prefer going to an island that isn’t known, where I could spend  a few days eating coconuts with my monkey friends
